The Mechanicsburg Fire Department and mutual aid companies were dispatched to the 29-03 box for a residential structure fire. Engine 29 and Utility 29 made the response.
Chief 129 arrived to find a 2-story duplex with fire to the rear. Engine 29 arrived as the first due engine, initiating water supply and stretching a line around back for fire attack. Crews extinguished the fire and completed some extensive overhaul.
Mechanicsburg Volunteer Firefighters operated on scene for nearly 3 hours.
