The Mechanicsburg Fire Department recently hosted P. L. Vulcan Fire Training Concepts for their “Man vs. Machinery” class. Students from MFD and other area fire departments participated in training scenarios such as ring removals, victim under vehicle rescues, fence impalements, extremity rescues, and more.
While these scenarios are low frequency incidents, the skills and concepts taught by the very experienced instructors have set the students up with the needed knowledge to troubleshoot and problem solve a variety of machinery emergencies.
