Some of our Membership braved the weather this weekend to get a first hand look at the new fire station progress. We are impressed and thankful to all the professional contractors who have worked diligently through the harsh winter to keep the project on schedule! Our capital campaign is still ongoing! 01-25-2026 1703hrs During winter storm Fern, Company 29 was dispatched to the 29-01 box for a structure fire. Squad and Tower 29 made the response. Company 29 arrived to find a vehicle fire endangering a structure. Squad 29 secured its own water supply, advanced a long line to the alley, and extinguished the vehicle fire before it could spread into the residence. Mechanicsburg Volunteer Firefighters operated on scene for just over an hour.

12-30-2025 1607 hours Mechanicsburg Volunteer Firefighters finish the year with a Residential Structure Fire. The Mechanicsburg Fire Department was dispatched to the 12-05 box for a residential structure fire. Squad 29 made the response as part of the working fire dispatch. Squad 29 arrived and was assigned to the roof for vertical ventilation. Later, Squad 29’s crew helped our mutual aid partners pick up hose before going available after 1 1/2 hours on scene.

Mechanicsburg Fire Department remains busy Christmas week.
